Sarah Faisal doesn’t just sell homes. She represents what “home” truly means.

A fourth-generation DMV native, Sarah was raised in Bethesda and has spent over two decades rooted in Northern Virginia. She brings a deep, lived understanding of the communities she serves, and her connection to the area is personal. It shapes the way she shows up for every client.

Before real estate, Sarah built a diverse career in banking, startup operations, and consulting for companies across Washington, DC and Silicon Valley. That experience sharpened her ability to think strategically, solve complex problems quickly, and navigate high-pressure situations with clarity and confidence.

Today, as the founder of hōm with Compass, she brings that same level of precision and care into every transaction.

Her approach is thoughtful, strategic, and highly personalized. Known for her strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate challenges before they arise, she ensures her clients feel informed, protected, and confident from start to finish. Her goal is simple. Deliver a seamless experience while advocating fiercely for the people she represents.

But what truly defines Sarah is her connection to this community.

She is the founder of The Vienna Dog Pack, a local group created to bring people together and strengthen the bond between neighbors and their dogs. What started as a simple idea has grown into a meaningful network. One that shows up for each other, supports families, and creates real connection within Vienna and the surrounding areas.

Beyond building community, Sarah is actively involved in lost dog search and rescue.

When a dog goes missing, she often steps in to help organize search efforts, map sightings, and guide families through what can feel overwhelming and uncertain. She also spends time educating the community on effective recovery strategies, helping ensure that well-intentioned actions do not unintentionally make situations harder.

Her work is hands-on and deeply intentional.

It means long nights monitoring cameras and traps, time spent tracking sightings, and stepping into emotional situations to help bring structure and a sense of calm when it is needed most. It is not something she separates from her life. It is simply part of how she shows up.

That same purpose led to the creation of The Good Sit Project, a storytelling platform rooted in the belief that good still exists and deserves to be seen.

Inspired by capturing real, meaningful moments within a community, The Good Sit Project highlights more than just homes. It shines a light on adoptable dogs, local businesses, and individuals quietly making an impact. Stories that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Each feature is intentional. Sometimes it is a home. Sometimes it is a dog still waiting to be chosen. Sometimes it is a person or business doing good in ways that do not always get recognition. At the center of every story is the same goal. Create connection, inspire action, and remind people of the good that exists all around them.

Her three dogs, Mamba, Muggsy, and Mookie, are the heart behind it all and the reason she understands what it means when a pet goes missing.

For Sarah, real estate is more than a profession. It is the vehicle that allows her to give back in a meaningful way.

Every client she serves directly supports her ability to continue this work. Helping families, strengthening community, and giving more dogs the chance to be found or finally chosen.

Her philosophy is simple.

Home is not just a place.
It is where life happens, where connection lives, and where we belong.

And for Sarah Faisal, helping people and their dogs find their way home will always be the mission.
